Arizona - Gladys (Moniz) Frates Riley, 89 formerly of Warren, died Sunday July 13, 2014. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Frates Jr., and also the late John J. Riley Sr. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Ernest and Thomasia (Moniz) Moniz.
Gladys is survived by her sons Joseph L. Frates III and his wife Diane, Kenneth S. Frates and his wife Linda, a daughter Susan DeBlois and her husband David.
She was the grandmother of 6, great grandmother of 12, and great great grandmother of 7. Sister of the late Mozart Moniz, Ernest Moniz, Leane Furtado, and Hilda Valentine.
Funeral: Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014 at 8am from the Smith Funeral, Memorial and Cremation Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave. Warren, burial will follow in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Vernon St. Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
