Mr. Clyde Thomas Padgett, Sr. was born to the late Claude Newt and Ida Newton Padgett in Marietta, GA. He married Naomi Ruth Chandler in 1945. Together they had two children, Clyde Thomas Padgett, Jr and Carin Anita Padgett Opry.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert W Padgett, sisters Thelma Virginia Padgett (Bill) Kuglar and Allie Mae Padgett (Garland) Wellborn. Survivors include son Clyde Thomas Padgett,Jr (Sandra)of The Rock, GA and Carin Anita Opry of Canton GA, five grandchildren: Andrea Christine Bragg of San Francisco, CA, Christopher Opry (Christine) of Kennesaw GA, Sean Richard Opry of New York NY, and Shannan Allana Opry of Marietta GA, and Lauren Deborah Padgett of Alpharetta; one brother Curtis Eugene Padgett (Vicki)of Rockmart, GA and a great grandchild Lydia Curtis. He is also survived by two cousins: Sidney (Hilda) Newton of Mableton and his cousin, close friend and companion Carol Hackett of Marietta and a host of nieces and nephews.
