Emmett Woodrow "Woodie" Duncan, Jr., 65, of North Carolina, formerly of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007. He is predeceased by his parents, Emmett W. Duncan, Sr. and Rachel Graybill Duncan and Judith Marie Duncan, wife. "Woodie" is survived by his children, Michael Woodrow (Lisa) Duncan, Shawn P. Duncan, Rachel N. Duncan and David D. (Amber) Duncan; grandchildren, Joshua M. (Ashlyn) Duncan McCreary, Amanda M. Duncan Swyden, Tyler D. Duncan and Trevor P. Duncan; one great-grandson, Caden L. McCreary; sister, Carolyn Duncan Cecil, Barbara Duncan Piedmont and Lois (David) Duncan Russell; stepmother, Merle Showalter Duncan; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Friends are welcome to call Friday, March 23, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville. Where a service celebrating "Woodie's" life will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Rader's Chapel with the Rev. Mike Lauridsen and the Rev. Moe Diggs officiating. Interment Troutville Cemetery.
