West Peoria- Josephine “Mickey” Walker, age 92, of West Peoria, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Washington Christian Village.
Josephine was born November 11, 1925 in Toluca, IL., a daughter of William and Josephine (Oser) LeKemper. She married Elmer F. Walker in 1949 at Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Josephine is survived by two sons, John (Brenda) Walker of West Peoria and David (Cindy) Walker of Germantown Hills; four grandchildren, Christopher, Leanne Jennifer and Kimberly Walker; two great-grandchildren, Mason Ann and Jonathan Dean; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Josephine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and Aunt who will be remembered for her love of gardening, crocheting, and baking delicious pies. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 06, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Lutheran Cemetery, 914 S Pleasant Street in Peoria with a celebration of her life following services.
