Lena is a daughter of Henry Lafayette Carter and Alice Nelson. She married John Earl Oxborrow on May 29, 1922 in Ely, Nevada. She later married Lenard Peter Christiansen on September 16, 1964 in St. George, Utah.

Selina "Lena" Oxborrow Christiansen, 97, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 3, 1904, in Lund. A resident of Las Vegas for 30 years and a lifelong Nevada resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Clark and Alice J. Bunker, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Helen Gardner of Mesa, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday at the LDS chapel at Tropicana and Burnham avenues. Graveside services will be noon Monday in Lund Cemetery. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
