BOONE, PATRICIA DOROTHY It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Dorothy Boone announces her passing. Patsy succumbed to ovarian cancer on Mother's Day, May 11th. She was surrounded by her family at the home she shared with her identical twin sister, Martha Mitchell, in Borrego Springs. Patsy was born in San Diego, March 17, 1926, and graduated from Hoover High School. She married her high school sweetheart, the late Ray Boone and together they produced baseball's first three-generation family. She is survived by her three children, Bob Boone of San Diego, Rod Boone of Coto De Caza, and Terry Strandemo of San Diego. She leaves nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her sister Martha Mitchell of Borrego, and her brother Dr. George Brown of Lake Elsinore. Memorial Services will be held June, 16th, at El Camino Memorial Park and Mortuary, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on the Event Lawn. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Patricia's name to The Professional Baseball Scouts Foundation, c/o of Dennis Gilbert, 9665 Wilshire Blvd., Suite #801, Beverly Hills, CA 90212.
