In his father's footsteps: logger, guide, rancher, trapper

Glen lived in Dome Creek, British Columbia, for most of his life, except for the years he spent overseas during World War II and three years he spent in Los Angeles working as a plumber in the early 1950s. He made his living logging, guiding, ranching, and trapping, and he raised his children on a farm overlooking the Fraser River in Dome Creek. For the last 20 years of his life, he and his wife Myra divided their time between their home in Dome Creek and their property in Scenic, Mohave County, Arizona. In 2008, they moved to McBride, British Columbia. Glen loved the outdoors and his family, and he always had a story to tell. He loved hunting and fishing, and he caught his last big fish in the summer of 2009. One of his favorite places to be was at his trapping cabin in the mountains near Dome Creek, and that is where his family scattered his ashes.

He had two sons and a daughter by his first wife (Mary MYTTENOR), and two sons and a daughter by his second wife (Myra VanDeREIT).
