Linda R. (Smith) McNeil, 81, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Willis David McNeil.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 9-10 a.m. Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery in Etters.
Mrs. McNeil was born in York on May 12, 1936, the daughter of the late Walter and Mary A. (Wertz) Smith.
She worked as a cook and waitress for the former Roosevelt Diner in York and worked for P.C.C. in York. Mrs. McNeil was a member of Reliance Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Pennsylvania Fire Police Association, and Liberty Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. McNeil leaves a daughter, Kristina Leppo of Mt. Wolf; five grandchildren, Tina Innerst, William Reachard, Rachel Reachard, Renee Shorts, and Stephen Reachard, Jr.; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen L. Reachard; and a granddaughter, Andria Leppo. Send condolences at HeffnerCare.com
