Robert E. Scully, 85, formerly of Stow, died November 25, 2017.

Born in Sharon Hill, PA, he was a Stow resident for 21 years, prior to moving to Cuyahoga Falls in 1996. Mr. Scully had been employed as a manager with both Radio Shack and Sears, and in his later years, worked with First Merit Bank.

He was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church. In addition to singing in the church choir, he enjoyed playing golf, tennis, the piano, and spending time with his family, his wife, his children and their children and great-grandchildren.

Over the years, he had acquired many hobbies including painting, woodworking, short wave radios, amateur astronomy, and boating on Portage Lakes and Lake Erie.

Preceded in death by his son Robert, he is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy; children Elizabeth (William) Shaw, James P. Scully, Thomas E. (Karen) Scully, Kathleen Scully; grandchildren Christine Lias, Monica Burgess, Erin Peavey, Kathleen Rhodes, Jack, Carolyn, Steven and Robert Scully, Sarah Hartzler and Luke Scully, and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial Wednesday 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Private burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
