Janet E. (Munger) Cunningham, 80, of West Monroe, died Wednesday, at the home of her daughter, in North Syracuse. She was born in West Monroe, the daughter of the late Roy and Calista Foster Munger. She and her late husband, James, who died in 2003, owned and operated J&J Transportation and J&J Construction. Janet was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary #7325 in Constantia and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Home. She volunteered for 38 years at the Syracuse VA. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans #30 and the Military Order of the Cooties. Janet is survived by, her daughter, Melony Karlick, of North Syracuse; along with 3 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on, Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Union Settlement Cemetery, with interment to follow. Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Janet's life at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 13, 2018, from the Constantia VFW Post #7325. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Harter Funeral Home, 2983 W. Main Street, Parish NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Janet's name may be made to Francis House.
