Diane M. Roberts, former high school guidance counselor at Streetsboro High School, passed away on November 26, 2017 at the age of 82. A longtime resident of Stow, Ohio, she had been living in Bethesda, Md., for the last six years. Diane is survived by her children, Tracy (Todd) Perkins of Pebble Beach, Calif., Beth Roberts (Tom Mackall) of Bethesda, Md., and Jeff (Kate) Roberts of Columbus, Ohio; her brother, John (Nancy) Schneider of Fayetteville, Ga.; grandchildren, Ben Mackall of Bozeman, Mont., Katie, James and John Mackall of Bethesda, and Josh and Alex Kohmann of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; parents, John and Mary Schneider; and infant sister, Delores.

Diane was born in Akron on May 13, 1935 to John and Mary Schneider. She graduated from Kent State University in 1957 with a degree in Elementary Education, and married Vern, who she met at KSU, in that same year. She taught in Shaker Heights and Kent, Ohio for a number of years, then stepped away as her children were born. She returned to school and completed her graduate degree in Counseling at Kent State in 1976 and immediately began her counseling career at Streetsboro High School, retiring from that position in 2001.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home in Stow on Friday, December 1st. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 2nd, followed by interment at Stow Cemetery.
