Jim was born on January 11th 1944 in Glens Falls, N.Y., he was the son of the late James S. and the late Melba (Landry) Bulman.
He was a 1961 graduate of Glens Falls High School and entered the US Navy at the age of 17.
Upon his return in 1965, he married the love of his life and best friend, Brenda Hill.
He also joined the United Association of Plumbers & Steamfitters - Local Union 773.
As a life member he held nearly every elected office, ultimately serving as the Business Manager from 1986 until his retirement in 2002.
Jim loved sharing his passion for the outdoors with all. He enjoyed spending time visiting and hunting at the Fur-Fin & Feather Camp he built with his brothers, where he proudly served as the head chef for all those who would set out into the woods.
In recent years, he was most proud that he could share stories and hikes in the woods with his beloved grandchildren.
He and Brenda spent their winters in Florida, where they enjoyed nightly card games and morning shuffle board tournaments with their circle of friends. Family picnics and holiday parties, annual cruises with his family and friends, four trips to Alaska, and a most memorable cross country road trip with best friends.
Along with his parents, Jim was predeceased by his in-laws; Scott and Betty Hill, his grandparents; Frank and Velida Bulman and Marguerite and Lawrence Landry.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, Jim leaves behind his legacy in his five children, Larry (Vicki) Bulman of South Glens Falls, Brene' Choppa of Queensbury, Kelly (Frank) Hrabak of Brunswick, OH, Pat (Jessica) Bulman of Queensbury and Courtney (Angelo) Richichi of Lake George and his grandchildren Taylor (Dan) Erkel, James Bulman, Ashleigh, Kassandra and Michaela Choppa, Spencer, Patrick, and Frankie Hrabak, Raeghan Bulman, Mabel and Lucas Chenier, and Anthony and Anna Richichi. He is survived by his siblings, Sharon Smith, MaryEllen Bulman, Robert (Ellen) Bulman, Michael (Linda) Bulman, and Terry (Laura) Bulman and his sister-in-law, Barbara (Robert) Grant and his aunt, Ann Oligny and aunt, Loretta Landry. He leaves his mark on the hearts of his countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Burial will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, N.Y.
