Reverend Edwin M. Moore, 91, of Kokomo, passed away on November 27, 2017. He was born on November 21, 1926 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Cecil R. and Ruth (Layton) Moore.

Ed was a Godly man, giving his life to the Lord at a young age, and passionately doing the Lord's work as a minister. He graduated from Howe High School in 1944, and shortly thereafter, married his sweetheart, Shirley Bowman, on June 15, 1952. Together they raised four children. Ed served professionally at General Motors for more than 27 years, retiring in 1991. He was also an associate pastor at Praise Fellowship in Indianapolis. Ed's priorities in life were always clear: God first, then family. His hobbies included gardening, creating intricate pieces in his wood shop and traveling. He and Shirley explored the country together, spending time in every state, save Alaska, and visiting every Presidential Library. He was loved dearly and his absence will leave a void in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to cross his path.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brothers, Reverend Herbert Moore and Reverend Earl Moore; and his sisters Frances Rains and Loretta Moore.

Ed is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley (Bowman) Moore; his children, David (DeAnna) Moore of Kokomo, Danny (Kimberly) Moore of Cape Coral, Florida, Tami (Michael) Reith of Kokomo, and Lynn (Meghan Phillips) Moore of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Please join us for a celebration of life on Saturday, December 2nd at 2:00pm at Kingdom Life Ministries, 2104 W. Alto Rd., Kokomo, IN 46902, to be officiated by Pastor Glenn Waltman.
