Winnie Smith age 97, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Silverton, with Reverend Brian West officiating, with Rance Young assisting. Interment will follow at the Silverton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore Rose Funeral Home.

Winnie was born on September 13, 1920, in Antlers, Oklahoma, to Grover Henry Thomas and Ada Ella (Horn) Thomas.

Winnie loved her church and was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church for 61 years. She was a loving care-giver of her husband Glenn for over 31 years. She was an Avon representative for 50 years to help support she and her husband. She loved quilting and made a quilt for every member of her family, and made many baby quilts for friends and loved ones. Above all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn of 65 years; granddaughter Becky Dunn; grandson Brad West; great-grandson Conner Wadlow; her parents; 3 brothers; and 5 sisters.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Sandy and husband, Donnie Perkins, and Ann and husband Terry West; son, Lynn and wife Connie Smith; 5 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 13 great great-grandchildren.
