In 1907 Elizabeth and her brother Johann Jacob immigrated to Rhein SK. They lived with and worked for their mother's sister Christina, and her husband, Jacob Weinmeister Sr., who had arranged the passports and paid for their travel.
Elizabeth married Henry Weinmeister Sr. on Nov.28, 1907. They farmed SW of Rhein. Henry contracted the flu in 1918, so he rented the land out. He built a new house in Rhein, but before he was able to move into it, he got a cold which turned into pneumonia, and passed away at the age of 38. The family moved into the new house. Elizabeth took in boarders to help with living expenses. In 1926 she took over the farm again.
In 1928 Elizabeth married George Lackmann, and moved to Winnipeg, taking the four youngest children along. Some time later (probably George had died), Elizabeth moved to Yorkton. Henry and Elizabeth had six children: Sarah, Henry Jr., Johnny, Reinhold, Alvina, and Lillian.
