Henry, Ethel Diane "Dee-on" Lara
85 of Litchfield Park, AZ, passed away on November 24, 2017. Diane was born October 1, 1932 in Phoenix and moved to Buckeye when her parents opened The Buckeye Bakery. She met her husband, Larry, at Buckeye Union High School, attended Arizona State University and became a beloved kindergarten/grade school teacher in the Buckeye/Liberty School Districts. She earned her Master of Arts in Education degree from ASU, was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Delta Kappa Gamma. She lived most of her adult life in Buckeye. She, Larry and sons moved to Kununurra, Australia for a short while. In her later years she moved to Litchfield Park. She enjoyed travelling but most of all she loved her family and was loved by them. Her husband Lawrence Lee Henry, her parents Verona John Lara and Thomas Lara, and her brother James Lara preceded her in death. She is survived by sons Keith (Denise) Henry, Kent (Susan) Henry, Kevin (Donna) Henry, ten grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 1st at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1002 E. Eason Ave., Buckeye, AZ. Viewing is from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., Services start at 10:00 a.m. She will be interred next to Larry at Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Cemetery. Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements. Information provided by survivors.
