Ruth A. Williamson, 96, of Normal, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 28, 2017) at McLean County Nursing Home, Normal.
Ruth was born April 14, 1921 in LeRoy, a daughter to Moss and Neva Hendren Riggs. Her father passed away when she was 10 months old. Her mother married her stepfather, Roy Schifflett. She married Oscar Williamson on March 29, 1943 in St. Louis, Mo. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1989.
Surviving are her children, Douglas (Dianne) Williamson and Vicki (Lynn) Kidwell, both of Bloomington; four granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandson; two great-great-grandchildren and sister, Viola (late, Howard) Williamson.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary (David) Totten and Juanita (Verdon) Cox and several stepbrothers and stepsisters.
