Virginia Lewis Elmore, 86, most recently of Gloucester, Va., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

She was the daughter of the late Julius Herbert and Margaret Clough Lewis, and the widow of Branch Elmore. She is predeceased by her daughter, Eileen Ethridge Teachey, and her brother, Julius H. Lewis Jr. She loved her church, Second Baptist, and her church family of Petersburg, Va.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Faye Ethridge Crone and husband, Charles, of Gloucester, Va.; son, Charles Richard (Ricky) Ethridge and wife, Sue, of Disputanta; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Louise Lewis Frye of Yale, Va.; brother, Perry Alton Lewis of Carson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
