Born May 16, 1929 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Emma M. (Richards) Samer.
Mrs. Hineline is survived by 3 children: Robin J. Crowl (wife of the late Vinton) of Red Lion, Tom A. Hineline and his wife, Rose of Flowering Branch, GA and Lori A. Michael (wife of the late Harold) of York; 8 grandchildren: Christopher W. Landis, Allison M. Crowl, Phillip J. Zanders, Andrea E. Zanders and her partner, Austin, Katelyn Z. Raygor and her husband, Jacob, Scott M. Frederick and his wife, Rachel, Clifton R. Frederick IV and his wife, Tia and Ashley Frederick-Dixon; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Ruth Maitland (wife of the late John) and Barbara Butler and her husband, Millard, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other family members and her faithful dog, Tubby.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Gayle L. Stackenwalt.
Joyce was an avid fan, always cheering on her son and volunteering at the refreshment stands during Dallastown Cougars and Eastern Golden Knights football games, and was an avid camper. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. After Wayne's passing, she became active in the Surviving Spouses of York, where she served as treasurer.
A funeral service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held on Saturday, December 29th at 10am at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home; 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, where family and friends will be invited to share memories. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 9am until the start of the service. Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
