Annasonia Rose, age 84, of Winthrop passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in Winthrop,
Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 2, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, December 1, 2017, from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop and will continue on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Annasonia Anna Elsie (Rettig) Rose was born on December 12, 1932, in Round Grove Township, McLeod County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Walter and Helena (Pagel) Rettig. Annasonia was baptized as an infant on January 1, 1933, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 14, 1946, both at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Penn Township. She received her education at District 64 in Penn Township, McLeod County.
On September 24, 1952, Annasonia was united in marriage to Ervin Rose by Pastor Ernest Lehne at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Penn Township, McLeod County, Minnesota. The couple farmed on the Rose family farm where Ervin was born. In August of 2000, when Ervin retired they moved into Winthrop. Their marriage was blessed with four children. They shared 55 years of marriage before Ervin passed away on April 1, 2008.
Annasonia was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Penn Township. In April of 1995, she became a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop. Annasonia was also a member of the Ladies Guild.
Annasonia enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, traveling, sewing, and fishing. She cherished the time she spent with her children and friends.
When she needed assistance with her daily care, Annasonia became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Winthrop on May 27, 2015, and passed away there on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at the age of 84 years.

Annasonia is survived by her: Children, Gary Rose and his wife, Colleen of New Ulm, MN, Arvin Rose of Winthrop, MN, Carol Rose and her special friend, Larry Schmidt of Watertown, MN, and Joel Rose and his wife, Sheryl of Spencer, IA; Sisters, Marietta Novotny and her husband, Ralph of Hector, MN, and Jeanetta Augustine and her husband, Wayne of Glencoe, MN; Brother, Clinton Rettig and his wife, Marilyn of Brownton, MN; Many Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Annasonia was preceded in death by her Parents, Walter and Helena Rettig; Husband, Ervin Rose; Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Heinrich and Martha Rose; Brothers-In-Law and Sisters-In-Law, Harold (Bernice) Rose, Fred Rose, and Martin (Evelyn) Rose; Niece, Charlene Ortloff.
