Deborah (Archer) Fry, age 54, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, May 30, 2009. She was the widow of Daniel Fry.
Born in Newport, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Robert W. Archer and the late Katherine (Campbell) Archer.
A resident of New Bedford since 2005, she was raised in Fall River and after living in Florida for several years she returned to Fall River in 1996. Although she was mostly a stay-at-home mom and homemaker, Deborah did enjoyed working in a restaurant as a waitress and volunteering in a community watch program while living in Florida.
Surviving family members include her son, Wayne Ferreira, Jr., of New Bedford, her daughter, Deanna DeCosta of Henderson, NV, three brothers, George F. Archer, Robert W. Archer, Jr., and Glenn D. Archer, all of Fall River, three sisters, Gail Archer of Hudson, FL, Marjorie Archer and Cheryl Archer, both of Fall River, five grandchildren, Samantha DeCosta, Taylor DeCosta and Larissa DeCosta, all of Henderson, NV, Wayne Ferreira, III, and Hailey Ferreira, both of Fall River, and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Dawn Archer, Patricia Archer and Catherine Sheehan.
Her Funeral Mass was offered in St. Anne's Church, South Main Street, Fall River. Committal services followed at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Her pallbearers were George, Glenn and Cory Archer, Joe Shaheen, Ron Resendes and Mark Emond.
