Melvin Stewart, 57, of Camden, OH, passed away early Sunday morning, November 26, 2017. Born April 15, 1960, he was one of 12 children born to the late Bill and Roberta (Jackson) Stewart. Melvin worked for 30 years as a masonry finisher for Sowder Concrete. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, working on cars, ginseng and mushroom hunting. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers and sisterJunior, Hense, Lester and Beulah Stewart.

Survived by wife Pam S. (Ashley) Stewart, whom he married June 9, 1984; children Andrew Stewart of Camden, Sabrina Ballard-Stewart of Lewisburg, and Joshua Stewart and companion Destiny Collins of Middletown; grandchildren Hunter Lee Stewart, Logan Andrew Wyatt, Fisher Stewart , Trent Ballard, Mackenzie Ballard, Natalie Ballard, Remington Kenneth Stewart and Nova Leigh Stewart; brothers and sisters Virgil Stewart, Cleo Metcalf, Virgie Hall, Sally Mae Smith, Margaret Walker, Rose Mills and Pep Stewart; special niece Jeweldene Jackson, numerous other nieces and nephews; along with a host of friends.

Friends may call on the family from 12:00 – 2:00 PM Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens – 3377 US Rt. 35 – West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Fred Scmit presiding. Burial will follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
