Mildred G. Lawson, age 97, passed away on November 26, 2017 in Gulfport, Mississippi.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Lawson; son, John Michael Webb; and her parents Hugh and Juliet Gillogly.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice Anne Lawson Herrington (Murphy) Tulsa, OK, MaryDee Lawson Benton (Charles) of Biloxi; seven grandchildren, Scoti Lucas, of Orlando, FL, Kelli Webb McKay, of Gulfport, Candy Webb of Gulfport, Dr. James Herrington (Brooke) of Tulsa, OK, Dr. Timothy Herrington (Shelli) of Tulsa, OK, Elizabeth Brumbaugh of Biloxi, James Brumbaugh of Oxford, MS; and ten great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Ocean Springs High School and later attended Birmingham Southern University. She was a lifelong Methodist but attended Parkway Baptist Church in Woolmarket, MS. She worked at the Personnel Office at Keesler Air Force Base and the Seabee Base. She retired from Civil Service in 1978.

In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading, and quilting.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 4-6 PM at RIEMANN FAM-ILYFUNERALHOME,11280 ThreeRiversRoad,Gulfport, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
