Regina departed this life on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at her home at the age of 59. She was born December 22, 1957, at St. John Hospital in Tulsa.

During a Charles Page High School powder puff football game where Regina was playing as a ball carrier, she was discovered by the Girls Track Coach who happened to be watching the game. She was asked to tryout for track, and quickly became the fastest sprinter on the team. There wasn't a boy or girl she couldn't out run. Her sophomore year was the first year sports were offered for girls on an interscholastic basis. The girls track team had to wear the boys uniforms with a tee-shirt under the tank top.

Regina was a world class athlete becoming the first female Sandite to qualify at the Frontier Conference Games and her senior year set the Women's 100 yard Dash State Record for 11 years She also held the record for the 60 yard indoor dash. Regina won many honors including High School All American , Oklahoma All-State, Prep Track & Field Athlete of the Year, and finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, She won around 70 medals and trophies from her 10th grade year to her 1st year of college. She was also captain of the basketball team in 1976, and was named outstanding guard at the All-State Conference, as well as Charles Page High School Outstanding Athlete in 1976. After graduating from Charles Page High School in 1976, Regina continued her education at Oklahoma State University where she received a scholarship, a first of its kind in the state for a female. Regina was bound for the Olympics and after searching for a coach to go to an International Meet in Mexico, she ran for the Texas Longhorns on the U.S. International Team. In order for their coach to take her, she was required to beat their top sprinter, which she did. Regina was later injured in college which ended her track career. During the summers Regina would intern at Hissom Memorial, and later Jenks Public Schools. She graduated a semester early earning a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with a minor in Science. In 1980, she began teaching science at Central Junior High School in Sand Springs. She also coached Track and Field, and in 1985 coached the first Cross Country Team at Charles Page High School. Due to Regina's success in track and field, the high school eventually surfaced their previous dirt track.

On December 19, 1980, Regina married Larry Wayne McBride at the Prayer Chapel in Sand Springs. They made their home in Sand Springs where they raised their son. She was a member of North Heights Church in Sapulpa.

From a young age, Regina loved to fish. While her husband worked the night shift, she would be out on her boat fishing. There wasn't much she was afraid of. Regina was an amazing wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Once someone met her, she was never forgotten. She was full of love for everyone she met and would do anything to help any one she could. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband of the home; son and wife; mother; two siblings and spouses; three grandchildren; niece and three nephews; and sister-in-law.

Regina is preceded in death by her father, John Dwain Hardage.
