Mr. Danny Wayne McDonald, age 62, husband of Patsy Stewart McDonald, and a resident of Culleoka, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Herb Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 4-8PM and again on Thursday from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on December 4, 1954 in Wayne, Michigan, Danny was the son of the late W.C. McDonald, Jr. and the late Pearl Marie Jones McDonald. He attended Perry County High School and married Patsy Stewart on December 31, 1977. He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church and loved his church family including his pastor, Herb & Joyce Helton. He was a bus driver for the Maury County School System, and all the young people who rode his bus adored him. Danny also worked self employed in construction, installing vinyl siding. He loved singing old southern gospel songs and riding his motorcycle. A kid at heart, Danny could make anyone’s day by clowning around and making them laugh.

In addition to his wife, Patsy of 40 years, he is survived by his daughters: Christie (Clay) McKinney of Lewisburg, Abby Gail McDonald of Culleoka; brother: Christopher Lynn (Courtney) McDonald of Culleoka; sisters: Patricia Ann (David) Lynch of Winchester, Linda Sue (Joe) Epley of Dickson, Vina Gail (Corey) Bumgarner of Hohenwald; and three grandchildren: Kayla, Emma Grace, and Christabel McKinney.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Crystal McDonald.

Pallbearers will be: Neal Griggs, Clay McKinney, Terry “Tater” Crumley, Chris McDonald, Hank Roberts, Anthony “Bubba” Stewart, Steven McCandless, and Jeremy Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will include: the members of Open Door Baptist Church, and the bus drivers and employees of the Maury County Transportation Department.
