He was a member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethren. Mr. Rowe worked for Rocco Feeds for 15 years and retired from Stanley Furniture with 26 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Guy, James, Russell and Ellsworth Rowe; and one sister, Viola Balser. He is survived by his wife, Betty S. Rowe; one son, Michael E. Rowe and his wife, Teresa; four sisters, Geneva Grove of Lyndhurst, Catherine Balser of Waynesboro, Gladys Hayes of Greenville and Mary Ellen Showalter of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Michael E. Rowe Jr., William L. Rowe, Justin O. Rowe, and Laura N. Rowe; and two great-grandchildren, Schuylar Rowe and Jeremiah Rowe.
A service will be held at Waynesboro Church of the Brethren at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 28, 2005) with Pastor Edward L. Carl officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Grove, Bill Moyer, Tommy Crickenberger, Norman Batman, Garland Diehl and Justin Rowe. Family and friends attending the service will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Waynesboro chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service, from 7-8 p.m. today (Sept. 27, 2005).
