Mr. Gerald C. Kelsch, 72, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at his residence.

Gerald was born in Bartholomew County on January 25, 1945, the son of Harold S. Kelsch and Anna Mae (Hemmer) Kelsch Kilpatrick.

On January 11, 1969, he married Ruby Jewell Ross at Bethel Baptist Church. She preceded him in death on October 17, 2007.

He was employed at Metal Air Service for 37 years as an aircraft sheet metal technician. He spent his free time volunteering with sports teams, attending local basketball games and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son; Shawn (Sharyl) Kelsch, his daughters; Kari Ann Kelsch Stockdale, Heather Marie (Sean) Bledsoe, and grandchildren; Megan Taylor Kelsch, Austin Wade Kelsch, Madyson Harmony-Faith Moore, Porter Liam Rain Stockdale, Gabriella Annamae Kelsch Bledsoe, Collins Marie Bledsoe, Paxton Ryan Bledsoe, Jacobby Sean Bledsoe, and, 2 brothers; Donald Kelsch and Roland Kelsch.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, an infant daughter; Angel Dawn Kelsch, and an infant son; Ian Timothy Kelsch, and a brother, James Kelsch.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 30 at 7:30 PM at Voss Funeral Service.
