Dean Hackett Hunt, 91, of Chattanooga, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. She was born on March 23, 1928 in Carthage, Tennessee to the late Benton and Vallie Gertrude Dillard Hackett, but had lived in the Chattanooga area for most of her life. She was previously employed with the Hamilton County School System as a Teacher’s Aide for more than 15 years and had also worked in the Kitchen Staff at Ridgedale Baptist Church. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking. She also loved going to yard sales, working with her flowers and spending time with her family & friends. She was a loving and devoted friend, mother and grandmother that will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hunt; sister, Doris Chambers; brother, Tommy Hackett; infant, Mary Ruth Hunt; daughter, Sandra Cummings; son, Terry Hunt; grandsons, David Hunt, Wade Hunt and Anthony Smith and great granddaughter, Brooklynn Smith.
