He was born on July 21, 1955, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was raised by his parents, George and Pastor Ella M. Mobley.
Ronnie graduated from Benton Harbor High School with the class of 1973. Ronnie worked in his earlier years as an Auto Specialist. He has worked the last several years as a driver for Dial-A-Ride public transportation service.
Ronnie always enjoyed playing a good game of pool at campus Q with the boys. He loved roller skating, playing basketball and listening to good music in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
Ronald leaves behind his daughter, April (Lafonza Cunningham) Mobley of Georgia along with her mother Sheila (Jackson) Mobley. Son, Sean Sampson of Iowa; stepdaughter, Shermaine Moore of Indianapolis along with her children Justyce Griffin and Jaliyah Moore. Stepson, Bernard Brown of Iowa, several grandchildren including, Courtney L. Burton; brother, Ernest (Cindy) McCall, Close friends, Otis Turner, Jerry Heard and Willie (Hawk) Mitchell; his birth mother, Ruth Hall; special friend, Victoria Kirby; along with a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1800 Territorial in Benton Harbor with Pastor Carl Horne officiating. A time of visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Garden.
