Charlie Ephraim BEER, 90, long time Hough community resident, died Sunday, September 29th, 1991 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.
The son of E. G. and Mary BEER, he was born November 2nd, 1900 in Scranton County, Kansas.
At the age of 15, he came with his parents by rail to Rolla, Kansas. The BEER family settled 24 miles northwest of Guymon in Texas County where he has resided until his death.
He married Minta Dain March 15th, 1927 at the First Centenary United Methodist Church in Goodwell.
They farmed in the Hough community for 64 years.
They was an active member of the Morning Star United Methodist Church and participated in many other community activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles Rodney BEER; one grandson, Craig DAVIS; and three sisters, Della DUNN, Ollie DUNN and Mamie CLINKINGBEARD.
Survivors include his wife, Minta of the home; three daughters, Theresa STODDARD of Liberal, Kansas, Janet LANDESS of Shawnee and Kathie ROSEBURE of Edmond; three sons, Jerome BEER and Gerald BEER of Guymon and Curtis BEER of Tyrone; fourteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Servicers were held Tuesday, Oct.ober 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Morning Star United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sam Tucker, pastor, officiating.
Interment was in the Hooker Cemetery under the direction of the Henson Funeral Home of Guymon.
A Charlie E. Beer memorial has been established for the Morning Star United Methodist Church.
Memorials will be accepted at the church or the Henson Funeral Home, Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942.
