He was born on Oct. 1, 1945, in Kilgore, Texas, to the late Clay Ellis Scott and Edna Lucille Barron Scott.
Reared and receiving his early education in Texas and Hot Springs, he later attended Bible College in Dallas.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked in personnel for the State of Arkansas and for the federal government. Danny was a member of the Episcopalian Church.
He is survived by his spouse, Gene Walker, of Malvern; three sons, Sheridan Scott (Kristy), of Carrollton, Texas, David Scott (Christy), of Benton, and Paul Walker (Melissa) of Jacksonville; a daughter, Shana Salmon (Mike), of Grand Rapids, Michigan; a son-in-law, Rick Stonesifer, of Fredericksburg, Virginia; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Danny was preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Stonesifer.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Teddy Frye officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane
Society of Saline County.
