Billie was born August 26, 1926 in Shreveport, LA to Willie Bert Smith and Ardath Bates Smith. She graduated from Fair Park High School and then entered nurses training. She met her husband, Gene R Robinson, on a blind date and they were married in 1947. They had three children. Billie was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. She was a loving mother and enjoyed participating in her children's activities. She enjoyed music and loved to dance. She was an avid LSU Tiger fan and never missed watching their football games. Billie volunteered at NurseCare of Shreveport and Garden Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for several years where she enjoyed making crafts with the residents and participating in social events.

Billie was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Gene R. Robinson; her daughter, Kay Robinson; her parents; her older sister, Mildred Smith Bascle; and brother-in-law, Emile Bascle. She is survived by her children, Mark Robinson and wife Kathy of Houston, TX and Bert Robinson of Shreveport, LA; six grandchildren, Blake Lackey and wife Whitney, Alison Lackey Jackson, Matt Robinson and wife Emily, Alissa Robinson Wheat and husband Josh, Austin Robinson and Kara Robinson; seven great-grandchildren, Luke Robinson, Reid Robinson, Julianne Robinson, Hadlee Wheat, Ava Jackson, Blake Jackson, and Logan Lackey. She is also survived by her younger sister, Linda Smith Morehead, and numerous nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff in the Memory Care Unit of Brookdale of Shreveport and her hair dresser, Mildred Bison, for their loving care of our mother.

In lieu of flowers, Billie would be honored for donations to be made in her name to the Shreveport Bossier Animal Rescue (431 Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71104) or The Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana (2544 Linwood Ave., Shreveport, LA 71103).
