Son of Milburn K. and Florence E. (Middleton) Ballinger. On January 24, 1943 he married Jean Viola (Huntsman) Ballinger, she preceded him in death on September 28, 2010 after 67 years of marriage.
Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII, he was employed at McDaniel Auto for many years as a salesman.
He loved his family and children, he would call everyday to make sure everything was ok. Robert was an avid sports fan, loved NASCAR, Sprint Cars and Ohio State Football, he had many friends at Seton Square and will be remembered for telling his funny stories. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family.
Robert was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ballinger, two sisters, Rita McGlothin, Shirley Birchfield and four grandchildren.
