Karla Ann Larson, 43, Rockford, passed away Tues., April 30, 2002, in her residence after a 37-year battle with diabetes. Her battle was courageous and an inspiration to anyone who had the blessing to know her. Born March 25, 1959, in Rockford, the daughter of Alan and Virginia (Johnson) Larson. Graduated from Harlem High School in 1977. Received a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Northern Illinois University in 1986. Karla was a devoted Christian and enjoyed playing sports.
Survivors include parentss, Alan and Virginia; brothers, Kris (Robin) and Kurt (Katarina) Larson; and her very special service dog, Jedi, who has added so much to her life.
