Eldon Holt Barlocker, was called home on Nov 22, 2017 surrounded by his family. Born Jan 24, 1937 in Enterprise, Utah to Arnold and Faye Barlocker, the second of three children. Graduating from Enterprise High School he served as class president and photographer. Even after attending the University of Utah Eldon was forever BYU fan. He served an LDS mission in Germany and continued to faithfully serve in many positions in the church throughout his lifetime.
He married the love of his life, Susan Acord in the Salt Lake Temple only six weeks after their first date. Their marriage was an example of unconditional love and devotion that lasted their lifetimes and continues now with their reunion. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to all who know him.
Eldon especially loved to play card games of all kinds with family and friends. He was always a kid at heart and continued skateboarding well into his 70s. Eldon lived his life with the biggest heart. He helped countless family, friends and strangers in need. He received so much joy from giving to others, from the endless supply of stuffed animals, suckers, balloons, and piggy back rides for all the kids, to taking treats to the care center where he visited regularly.
He will be so very missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S.), South Jordan.
