Ernest served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Tag Galyean Chevrolet.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jessie Boggess at home; children, Ernest "Billy" Boggess of Sissonville, Kelly George of South Charleston, Eddie Boggess of St. Albans, Shellee Hitchcock of Charleston and Randy Smith of Ravenswood.
Survived also by brothers, Delbert "Dee" Boggess and Emory Boggess, both of Sissonville; sisters, Juanita Boggess of Sissonville, Zelma Jenkins of Clendenin and Nadine Marion of Charleston; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
