Christopher Davidson, 52, of Copper Hill, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 16, 2014. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Davidson. His surviving family includes his mother, Jennie Davidson; and two sisters, Debra and Brenda Davidson. Christopher will also be forever loved and greatly missed by his loving wife, Karen Davidson, of 35 years. Chris also leaves his mark on his three daughters, Christy Davidson, Kandy Torres and husband, Nick, and Donna Sheets and husband, Michael (TJ). Along with being a great husband and father, Christopher was the best Paw-Paw to his ten grandchildren, Dylan Critzer (19) with fianc‚e, Mary Creasy, Nicholas Torres (18), Krista Davidson (14), Logan Sheets (13), Jordan Sheets (12), Christopher Sheets (10), Hunter Davidson (9), Carly Davidson (4), Zander Torres (4), and Payton Sheets (1). Christopher will be remembered for his loyalty, trust, honesty, respect, and being a friend for life. Chris loved being with his family, riding with his brothers, and enjoyed good conversations with friends. Chris Davidson had a faith in the Lord above, giving him a sense of peace during his life here on earth and also for what was to come for him on the other side with God by his side. A special thanks goes out to his family, riding brothers, and great friends for their love and support. For those who knew Chris and wish to pay their respects, the viewing will be held to the public from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va. His service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in the funeral home's chapel. Entombment will immediately follow at Sherwood Memorial Park, also in Salem, Va.
