He was born in Akron in 1913 and had been a Grafton resident for 44 years. He enjoyed fishing and eating his own fish. He retired in 1975 as a machine operator for CA-Olsen Lux-Air of Elyria. Mr. Brkich hobbies included raising strawberries, gardening, and cutting firewood. He served in the U.S. Army Military Police in WWII.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Mary) Urban of Melbourne Beach, Fla., Mrs. Margo Love (nee Margaret Brkich) of Johnson City, Tenn., Michaelene and Marlene Brkich, both of Lodi; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, on Nov, 2, 1997, to whom he was married 55 years; one grandchild; two brothers; and two half-sisters.
Service: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Blackburn Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton. Rev. John Buda of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Litchfield will officiate.
Burial: Belden Cemetery, Grafton Twp., Lorain Co.
