Mary Frances Carter, 63, died Monday, July 28, 1997, in Liberal, Kan.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in United Methodist Church with the
Rev. David Cook officiating. Burial will be in Hooker Cemetery by Roberts
Brothers Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carter was born in Springfield, Mo. She was a medical librarian at Memorial Hospital of Texas County from 1969 to 1989.

She married Jack L. Carter in 1973 at Guymon. They made their home in Hooker. Mr. Carter died in 1993. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Juhree Koehn.

Mrs. Carter was a member of Hooker United Methodist Church and was involved in many Bible studies.

Survivors include three daughters, Sheila Hunter of Naperville, Ill., Donna Scott of San Antonio, Texas, and Bizz Haddock of Savannah, Ga.; a brother, Bob Anderson of Gallup, N.M.; two sisters, Betty Stevens of Wellston, Mich., and Virginia Cook of Sparta, Mich.; and six
grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Okla. 73945.
