Tupelo – Ms. Sheila Kay Hood Grisham Elliott, 60, died Sunday, November 19, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Nettleton, MS on June 19, 1957 to Lonnie Allen Hood and Dixie Emma Worthey Hood. Sheila was a graduate of Nettleton High School and worked many years as a payroll clerk employed earlier in her adult life by Thomas and Betts Electric Co. and later by Lane Furniture Industries. She lived in Lamar, MS for 18 years and had been back in the Tupelo area for 18 years. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a strong, loving woman who had a servant’s heart, always doing for others in need. She loved several dogs in her lifetime, especially, her four-legged baby, T-Boy. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed visiting various churches in the area.

A service celebrating her life will be at 3 PM, Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Danny Rushing officiating. Graveside service will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Nettleton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 PM to 7 PM and Wednesday from 2 PM to service time.

Survivors include her loving companion of 15 years, John Bourque of Tupelo; daughter, Brandy Grisham (Pierre Worthington) of Tupelo; brother, Lonnie Hood (Jimmy) of Nettleton; 8 grandchildren, Lindsay Hancock (Tony Hall), Emma Stevens (Devin), Ericka Thomas (Jerry), Jaimie Hancock (Jacob Stricklin), Timothy Grisham, Kayden Grisham, Kayleigha Worthington, and P.J. Worthington; 5 great-grandchildren, Madelynn Stevens, Chevy Stevens, Logan Stevens, Ella Thomas, and Aurora Hall.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 18 years, Richard Wayne Grisham; sister, Allene Cantrell and daughter, Dana Keeshan Hancock.

Pallbearers will be Devin Stevens, Jerry Thomas, Tony Hall, John Bourque, and Jacob Stricklin.
