Beverly Bolen Peace, 77, passed away on November 23, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 20, 1940, in Charleston, Missouri to Kimble David and Odean Bowman Bolen.
Beverly graduated from high school in Dyer, Tennessee and completed her nursing training at Baptist School of Nursing in Memphis, Tennessee. She served with compassion as a registered nurse at Booneville Baptist Hospital and Brown shoe Company while living in Booneville. She worked as a nurse in Knoxville, Tennessee and in Marietta Georgia. While living in Georgia, she met and married her husband, Jack F. Peace. They spent many happy years together before his death on December 16, 2011.
Beverly was an avid reader and had a collection of many novels and books of interest both for information and pleasure. She loved to travel with her husband until his death and a group of ladies from Georgia. She was a member of Booneville First Baptist Church and Rebekah Sunday School class and enjoyed the fellowship with the Joy Makers group.
A celebration of life will be held at the First Baptist Church in Booneville on November 25, 2017, at 12:00 P.M. Visitation will be at the church two hours prior to service from 10:00 until 12:00 at the church. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two brothers, Kimble Lee Bolen (Carolyn) of Corinth, John David Bolen (Brenda) of Booneville; nieces and nephews, Lori Bolen Horn (Brian), Kimberly Bolen Amen (Daniel), Kimble David Bolen (Misti), Jason Lee Bolen; great nieces and nephews, Laura Horn, Hannah South , Caroline South, Jaley Bolen, John Horn, and Nicholas South.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack F. Peace, her parents, and nephew, John Bolen.
