Marvin Clyde Peters
September 23, 1936 - November 22, 2017

Marvin Clyde Peters, 81, of Roanoke, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hampton and Ivra Peters; and his brothers, Nelson and Shelvin Peters.

Marvin worked in construction for most of his life. Companies he worked for include Wiley N. Jackson, E.C. Pace; and he retired from H&S Construction. He also enjoyed working his farm.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Earnestine Cooper Peters, his son, Marvin Bruce Peters; three sisters, Corrine Vest, Ailene Phillips and Roma Lee Allen; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

His family would like to thank Crystal Wilhelm; and all of their wonderful neighbors for all their support during his illness.

Funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Monday, November 27, 2017, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel. Pastor Kyle Dooley and Chaplain John Thompson will officiate and interment will follow at Mountain view Cemetery.
