Frances Clay, age 89, of Lakeway, located in Travis County, Texas, passed from this life on Monday evening, November 20, 2017, in Lakeway.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas 75972 with Charles B. Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery in San Augustine County, Texas. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017, at the funeral home.
Frances was born to Oma (Eddings) Murphy and Albert Edward Murphy on April 25, 1928, in San Augustine, Texas. She married the late R.L. Clay, and for many years lived in the Houston area. She retired as an administrator for the Pasadena Independent School District in Pasadena, Texas after many years, and was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by her Sons, Mark Clay of Marble Falls and Robert Clay and his wife, Katherine of Johnson City; her beloved grandchildren, Ashley Holmes; Brittany Rustin; Morgan Clay and Step-granddaughter, Stephanie Jurica; Great-grandchildren, Harper Rose Holmes and Beckham Bradley Holmes and Step-greatgrandchildren, Morgan Potter; Avery Jurica; Kinsley Jurica; Skylar Nichols and Presley Nichols.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Oma and Albert Edward Murphy; her beloved husband, R.L. Clay in 2009, and beloved sister, Peggy Murphy.
