Harold Nyberg

Harold L Nyberg, 78, passed away on March 15, 2007 at Lancaster Manor in Lincoln, NE.

Harold was born on March 25, 1929 to Ray "Buster" and Hilda (Wunnenberg) Nyberg in Burlington, Iowa. He grew up on the family farm near Oakville, IA and married Shirley E Lewis on December 30, 1951. Harold and Shirley had two children — Randall and Deborah.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Joyce Peterson and a granddaughter.

Harold grew up on the family farm near Oakville IA. He soloed a Piper J3 Cub on his 16th birthday and served in the United States Air Force as a crew member on a B–36 aircraft based at Travis AFB, California. His life–long passion was flying and he owned and operated aerial applicator "crop duster" businesses in Iowa for much of his life. After retiring, Harold lived in Burlington until moving to Lincoln last year to be close to his family.
