Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Millwood Cemetery with the Rev. Gerald Cannon officiating. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight.
A native of Caldwell County, he was born Jan. 26, 1960, the son of the late Erve H. and Gladys Norine Oliver Childress.
He was a plumbing contractor for BMAR and Associates, Hopkinsville.
He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.
A daughter, Holly Childress, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Childress Jr., Caldwell County; a brother, David Childress, Caldwell County and two sisters, Mrs. Rod (Betty) Thorpe, Eddyville, and Connie Bartee, Princeton.
