Mrs. Leslie Carol Cochran, age 62, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017, at her home under the care and comfort of her family.

Leslie Carol Cochran, née Johnson was born July 29, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, John Cochran. They have four children and five grandchildren. Jessica Cochran Chapa (Oliver Chapa) and grandchildren Isaac Chapa and Ellie Chapa, residents of Bedford County, Charles Cochran resident of Bedford County, Rebekah Cochran Forsythe (Ryan Forsythe) and grandchildren Caroline Forsythe, Hannah Forsythe, and Naomi Forsythe, residents of Bedford County, and David Cochran who has been with the Lord since 2008.

Leslie is the daughter of Charles and Nancy Johnson. She is survived by her mother, Nancy Johnson, a resident of Murfreesboro, TN, her sister, Andrea Johnson and niece Kristen Cairns, residents of Columbia, TN, brother Christopher Johnson (Angelica Johnson) and niece Alexandra Johnson, residents of Pensacola, FL.

Leslie is also survived by her church family whom she loved dearly and who dearly loved her as well. She and her family have been members of Living Word Fellowship Church for 27 years where her husband John serves as an Elder and is involved with the Bedford County Jail Ministry. Leslie was formerly employed by Renegar Drugs and Reeves-Sain Pharmacy.

Leslie was a precious child of God who raised her children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. She served her family and church family with a nurturing love few have the capacity to demonstrate. She was caring. Giving. Loving. Innocent. A beautiful woman inside and out. She was a strong intercessor for this town and the people in it. She will truly be deeply missed but is rejoicing in victory and worshipping her Savior Jesus Christ!

Funeral services will be 1 PM Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Hopper Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
