Darlene Christine (Kramer) Stuart, 80, passed away at home on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady starting at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice.

Darlene was born on March 13, 1937 on the Kramer Ranch in Harper, Texas to Ervin Allbrecht Kramer and Cora Olivia Feller Kramer.

After she graduated high school she became a Dietician for a nursing home.

She then went on to married the love of her life, Joe Finis Stuart, on December 2, 1957 at the Courthouse in Menard, Texas. Together they had three children, Rhonda (Stuart) Nelson, Keith Stuart, and Glen Stuart.

Darlene loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren She also enjoyed doing puzzles, picking up pecans and shelling them for her family. She liked to watch detective shows such as, CSI and NCIS. Other hobbies include fishing, hunting, and cooking for her family as well.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Nelson and husband, Glenn, of Fredericksburg; two sons, Keith Stuart and wife, Debbi, of Mercury, and Glen Stuart and wife, Cheryl, of Placid; two brothers, Levi Kramer of Harper, and Johnnie Kramer of Palestine. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Misty Richter, Colten Dietz, Tanner Stuart, Bo Stuart, Hunter Stuart, Trevor Stuart, Kara Nelson, and Keith Ellison; along with eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death include her husband, Joe Finis Stuart, of Placid; infant daughter, Janeen Stuart of Brady; parents; Ervin and Cora Kramer of Frederickburg; father and mother-in-law, BG and Mary Halle (Rickman) Stuart of Placid; and great-grandson, Zion Dietz of Austin.

Pallbearer's are Colten Dietz, Tanner Stuart, Bo Stuart, Hunter Stuart, Trevor Stuart, and Keith Ellison. Honorary pallbearer's are the great-grandchildren.
