She was born July 6, 1930 in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of William D. and Johannah (Peterson) Anderson.
She married Jack Arnold Hill on November 11, 1950 and he preceded her in death on June 10, 2015.
She was a member of the Old Union United Methodist Church where she played the played the piano for 40 years and served as a Sunday school teacher. She assisted around the farm and was a 4-H Leader. She was a member of the Tri Kappa, Home Ec. Club, Orange County Art Guild and Dirt Diggers Garden Club.
She is survived three daughters, Pat New of Ellettsville, Kate Hill of Ellettsville and Diane Smith of Unionville; one son, Doug Hill of Paoli; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one sister, Mary Lou Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
The funeral will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Old Union United Methodist Church in Orleans with Pastor Pat Sinnott officiating.
Burial will follow in Old Union United Methodist Church Cemetery.
