Mr. Collins died March 18, 2007.
He was born Feb. 15, 1966, in Dallas to Haywood Jr. and Laura Painter Collins. He was a painter for Jerry Gaston of Gaston Custom Painting and lived in Longview until moving to Gilmer two years ago. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Laura Painter.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Hanes Collins, Gilmer; father, Haywood Collins Jr., Gilmer; daughters, Laura Prator Maxwell, Anchorage, Alaska, and Ashley Cline, Denison; brother, Haywood "Woody" Collins, Royse City; sister, Lesley Collins, Tyler; stepbrothers, Ronnie Parsons, Spring, and Michael Parsons, Longview; stepsisters, Jennifer Jennings, Gilmer, and Lynda Moore, Kilgore; and other relatives.
Pallbearers are Lee Patterson, Dale Hightower, Rex Collins, Joey Hightower, Logan Collins and Steve
"Pitt" Baker.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at funeral home.
