Frank Craig Carpenter, 89, passed away November 17, 2017. He was born April 5, 1928 to the late Clarence and Gladys Craig Carpenter in Pontiac, Michigan. Frank served his country as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United State Army, and retired from the Army Reserve.

Frank was an accomplished photographer and enjoyed his family, traveling, cooking, hunting, fishing, and archaeology.

Frank is survived by his daughters, Sylvia (John) Phillips and Cynthia Carpenter; son, Bruce Martin Carpenter; stepsons, David Wood and Robert Wood; sister, Judy Alder; brothers, Randy Carpenter, Dr. William Hobbs, and Dr. John Hobbs; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wives, Hedwig Carpenter and Colleen Carpenter.

Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Jessamine County, Kentucky.
